Mobile Motorcycle Locksmith
We cut, code and repair motorcycle keys at the bike, anywhere across Werribee and the western suburbs, any hour.
Tell us the make, model and year and we will bring the right gear.
Most locksmiths will not touch a motorcycle. The blanks are different, the immobiliser systems are different, and when there is no key left the ignition barrel has to be read directly. So riders get sent to the dealer and quoted a week.
Ostan Locksmiths cuts, codes and tests bike keys at the bike, across Werribee and the Wyndham suburbs. Nothing needs trailering anywhere.
The full range of motorcycle and scooter key work:
Different blanks, different immobilisers, different tooling. Give us the make and model and we will confirm we cover it.
Bike key systems vary far more than car ones, HISS, SAIS, chip keys and plain mechanical barrels all need different gear. Those three details tell us exactly what to bring.
Garage, driveway, roadside or car park, wherever it's parked across Werribee and the western suburbs. No trailer, no dealer booking, and no bike sitting unused for a week.
New blanks are cut to the barrel or seat lock, then any chip or transponder is programmed to the bike's immobiliser using the same tools a dealership would use.
A key that starts the bike but won't open the fuel cap is only half done, so we test ignition, steering lock, seat and fuel cap before handing it back.
Call now and we'll talk you through pricing and timing for the job.
Mobile service across Werribee and the Wyndham suburbs, 24 hours a day
Three situations account for most of the motorcycle work at Ostan Locksmiths.
The bike came with one key. Second-hand bikes are frequently sold with a single key and no spare, and nobody thinks about it until that key is lost.
The key snapped. Bike keys are small and take a lot of load in a tight barrel. They break, usually in the ignition, usually when you are already running late.
The dealer quoted a week. Ordering a coded key through a dealership means the bike sits, often on a trailer, until it arrives.
Sound Familiar?
Single key on a second-hand bike, a snapped blade, or a dealer quote you don’t want to wait on, we handle all three at the bike.
We carry blanks and programming equipment for the makes common on Australian roads, including Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, BMW, Ducati, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Aprilia, Vespa and Piaggio.

We come to cars, utes, vans and motorcycles across Werribee, the Wyndham suburbs and Melbourne’s inner west, including:
Yes. We read the ignition barrel or the seat lock directly and cut a key to match, then program the immobiliser if the bike has one. It is the most common motorcycle job we do.
We do. There is no need to trailer it anywhere, which is the main reason riders call Ostan Locksmiths instead of a dealership. We work wherever the bike is parked across Werribee and the surrounding suburbs.
Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, BMW, Ducati, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Aprilia, Vespa and Piaggio among others, across road bikes, scooters and dirt bikes. Call with the make, model and year to confirm.
That is the intention, and we test all of them before finishing. On some models the seat or fuel cap uses a separate lock, in which case we will tell you upfront what one key can and cannot cover.
Less than the dealer in almost every case, and considerably less once you account for transporting the bike. Price depends on whether the bike has an immobiliser and whether you still have a working key.
Cutting shapes a new blade so it fits your lock. Programming pairs a chip inside the key to your bike’s immobiliser so the engine will start. Many bikes need both. See our motorcycle key cutting and motorcycle key programming pages for the detail on each.
Yes, that’s a barrel repair rather than a key job. We strip, clean and rebuild the barrel back to your existing key wherever possible. Full detail is on our motorcycle ignition repair page.
Often, yes. Scooters commonly use shutter-lock or magnetic key systems, and dirt bikes are frequently simple mechanical keys with no chip at all. We carry gear for all three and confirm what your bike needs when you call.
Ready When You Are
